Abrasive Blasting & Sweep Blasting

Whether you need mechanical cleaning to remove rust, scale, mill scale, old paint, or glass bead blasting to achieve a high-quality finish: we offer mechanical surface treatment solutions tailored precisely to your requirements!

In conventional sandblasting, the blasting medium (corundum, garnet grit, slag or steel grit) is propelled onto the workpiece at high pressure, thereby cleaning the surface. In glass bead blasting, stainless steel or aluminium is blasted with fine glass or ceramic particles, creating a compacted, velvety surface on the workpieces.

During sweeping, the galvanised component is blasted with very fine abrasive material at a lower pressure to roughen the zinc surface. This improves the adhesion of the subsequent coating (dry or wet) to the surface. However, this does not replace the need for fine plastering to remove zinc burrs and build-up.
